Scene Study - Fortsättning

Denna 6-veckorskurs kommer hållas på engelska men läraren förstår och kan tala svenska, därför kan du välja att utföra momenten på både svenska och engelska. 
This 6 week course will be held in English, but both Swedish and English speakers are welcome to participate as the teacher speaks and understands both.

Course description
Welcome to Advanced Scene Study! In this course we will continue to learn and extend the knowledge from the course “Intro to Acting”.
We will continue to work with different techniques and improv as the basis.
We will work on script breakdown and character analysis from specific complete scenes from American or Swedish playwrights.

Course content
We will work with techniques based on the Stanislavsky and Stella Adler’s renowned teaching methods centred around realism and imagination, which have been used for years by many of the greatest actors in modern time going back to Marlon Brando. We will work to further understand the size and ideas of the script material and how to apply this to your work as an actor. 

Course components
We will go through the different elements below. Each part is practised based on the needs of the group.  

-How to use different techniques to better memorize larger script material in a way that works best for you. 

-How to “build the inner world” on a bigger scale by applying the various acting techniques. 

-How to make interesting choices that feed you as an actor. 

-You will be assigned a partner that you will be working with during these 6 weeks. 

Previous experience
Finished the course Intro to Acting or equivalent.  

Suggestions for continuation
Try one of Calle Flygares other courses in Film or Improv to extend your knowledge. 

Teacher
Jean Kartal is an Award Winning actor that has worked with some of the biggest Oscar Winning directors in the world. He's now current in Mission Impossible 7, Dead Reckoning, in theaters on July 12th.  

Jean has been based in Los Angeles for the last 10 years where he graduated from the prestigious Stella Adler academy of theatre before booking his first role in an American film. Jean was cast as Jesus in Abigail a few weeks after graduating drama school. He works closely with his mentor and acting coach, the Oscar Winning director Milton Justice. Jean later went on to work on multiple films in America as well as winning a best male lead award for his portrayal of Charles in Silent Love Stories at the Global Film Festival Awards. Jean has also directed plays with youths such as The Lion King since he got back to Sweden.
